This position requires a self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented individual responsible for the accurate, efficient, and safe preparation, packaging, processing, and shipment of networking, telecommunications, data center, and related equipment. 

The Shipping Specialist is responsible for processing outbound parcel shipments through the company's ERP system and multiple carrier platforms, including UPS, FedEx, DHL, and USPS. This position reviews sales orders and shipping requirements, prepares shipment documentation, records shipment information, and ensures completed shipments are accurate and traceable within company systems.
 

• Review sales orders, shipping instructions, customer requirements, and related documentation to determine shipment requirements and priorities. 
• Verify outbound products against sales orders and shipping documentation to ensure correct part numbers, serial numbers, quantities, and other required information prior to shipment. 
• Process parcel shipments accurately within the company's ERP system and applicable carrier platforms, including UPS, FedEx, DHL, and USPS. 
• Enter and maintain shipment information including package quantities, dimensions, weights, carrier information, service levels, tracking numbers, shipping charges, and other required records.
• Generate and review shipping labels, packing slips, shipment documentation, and related records for accuracy and completeness. 
• Determine appropriate packaging methods and materials based on product size, weight, configuration, fragility, condition, value, transportation method, and other shipment requirements. 
• Custom package networking, telecommunications, data center, and related equipment using appropriate materials and techniques including shielding bags, bubble bags, bubble wrap, polyethylene materials, expanding foam, corner protection, configurable cartons, palletization, stretch wrap, binding, and other protective packaging. 
• Construct, modify, reinforce, and configure cartons and other packaging as necessary to safely accommodate products that do not conform to standardized packaging. 
• Inspect packaged shipments to ensure products are appropriately protected, professionally presented, accurately labeled, and prepared for safe transportation. 
• Prepare products for parcel and freight shipment, including weighing, measuring, labeling, palletizing, wrapping, securing, and staging shipments as required. 
• Coordinate and process freight shipments as assigned, including preparation of bills of lading and other required shipping documentation. 
• Obtain shipping estimates and evaluate available carrier services as required to support shipment processing. 
• Review shipment records for accuracy, compliance with established procedures, and alignment with customer and carrier requirements. 
• Identify, document, communicate, and escalate discrepancies involving products, orders, shipping instructions, packaging requirements, documentation, or carrier processing. 
• Maintain accurate electronic and physical shipment records to support order traceability and inventory accuracy. 
• Move completed shipments and products between workstations, warehouse locations, and designated staging areas using appropriate material handling equipment. 
• Monitor packaging materials and shipping supplies and communicate replenishment needs to prevent interruptions to shipping operations. 
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe shipping, packaging, and staging areas. 
• Operate pallet jacks, carts, ladders, packaging equipment, scanners, label printers, and other authorized warehouse and shipping equipment safely and efficiently. 
• Support receiving, warehouse, inventory, order processing, and other Operations activities as business needs require. 
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve packaging methods, shipment accuracy, carrier processing, material usage, workflow, and shipping efficiency. 
• Adhere to all company safety policies, quality standards, operational procedures, carrier requirements, and customer requirements. 
• Perform other shipping, warehouse, inventory, and fulfillment duties as assigned. 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: 

Experience working in a shipping, fulfillment, logistics, or related warehouse role is required. 
Experience using an ERP, inventory management, order management, or similar business system is required; NetSuite experience is preferred. 

• Experience processing shipments through commercial carrier systems such as UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS, or similar platforms is required. 
• Experience with custom packaging or protective packaging of varied, fragile, technical, or high-value products is strongly preferred. 
• Experience with packaging methods and equipment such as expanding foam, protective cushioning, carton modification, palletization, binding, and stretch wrapping is preferred. 
• Experience preparing bills of lading, arranging freight shipments, and obtaining shipping estimates is preferred. 
• Experience using handheld scanners, label printers, shipping scales, dimensioning equipment, and related shipping technology is preferred. 
• Experience working in a warehouse environment is required. 
• Experience working with networking, telecommunications, electronics, or related technical equipment is preferred.
